6:30 - 8:00pm - Ram Srinivasan - The Lean Startup Game
Most often we build products with minimal customer involvement. Lean Startups take a different approach and involve customers at every stage of product development. In this session, participants run a business based on the "Lean Startup" approach. The session starts off by playing a collaborative game that explores the marketplace. Participants organize themselves as self-organizing teams and try to run a profitable business by making "widgets". They sell the "widgets" to customer and during the course of game the teams learn what the customer wants (and is willing to pay for). The teams also track a few metrics to remain profitable. At the end of the game the facilitator debriefs with the participants.
