No two agile transition experiences are ever the same, but can scrum artefacts and ceremonies be used to manage meetings, consultations, decisions or requirement sign offs to improve the business decision processes ahead of development?

At the next LSUG meetup we'd like to discuss adapting scrum methods for non-technical teams.

James and Caspar have taken the process they were using with their in-house development team to reinvigorate the business process of a digital change project, to be developed off-site using waterfall. They are going to show how the adapted scrum process kept things moving and improved transparency of the workload, of commitment, of agreements, of required consultation and work done, even before the development process began.

It's work in progress, so we will briefly talk through what we've done and how we think it helped before opening it up to the floor to discuss different approaches.

If you have adapted your scrum process to facilitate non-technical work, and you’d be prepared to let us include your process in the presentation, then get in touch before the meetup by emailing to

James is a Digital Project Manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, responsible for their Single Sign-on and Website Redesign projects.
