Why is this course important?   

Many teams and organisations are adopting Scrum to dramatically improve their ability to create products and services. However, Agile teams need to shape and deliver the "right" outcomes for their users, customers and business stakeholders. The Product Owner is a critical piece of this puzzle and at the heart of every successful Scrum team.

This Certified Scrum Product Owner course introduces the fundamental principles and practices of Agile and Scrum and then focuses on shaping a product or solution and collaborating effectively with Scrum teams.

 

Schedule

This course is live and online and has plenty of interaction and practical content packed into a 2-day schedule, 9:00am - 17:00pm. There will be regular breaks for tea and coffee and to stretch your legs.

 

What do I need to take part in this course?

The most obvious thing you will need is a good WiFi and Internet connection with a pleasant, quiet environment for you to both hear and interact with your fellow course attendees and us lovely trainers! Don't worry about the odd child/dog/cat/partner wondering past or interrupting occasionally; we’ll roll with it :-)

We recommend a laptop or desktop with good sound and microphone. Course participants have struggled on phones and tablets. We will be using Zoom for the video conference functionality with a waiting room and password configured to provide a reasonable level of security. We recommend installing the Zoom app on your device, but the web version should work as a plan B.

 

Course Outcomes

After completing the course, each participant will become a Certified Scrum Product Owner (certification fee is included in the course fee). There is no exam for this course; full attendance and completion of the group exercises are the only prerequisites for certification. This certification includes a two-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where additional member-only material and information is available.

After the course closes, an electronic version of course slides, materials, and workshop output will also be provided.
